About our pregnancy yoga classes (not currently open to new participants, likely to re-open after all Coronavirus restrictions are lifted):
Take time for yourself
Relax and de-stress
Ease and prevent pregnancy discomforts
Strengthen and prepare for birth
This yoga for pregnancy is safe for all bodies and levels of experience. We form a small, nurturing group so that each woman can focus on working positively with how she is.
Each class teaches a series of yoga postures and movements, breath awareness, pelvic floor work, tools and techniques for labour and guided relaxation. Each yoga posture has alternatives offered to suit how each woman's body needs to be at that time, and we work carefully to support most common pregnancy ailments.
We offer options of gentle and stronger exercises, with attention to detail and the inner connections within the body. No experience necessary, and all pregnant women are welcome.
The class is taught by Gemma Muckle PhD, a fully qualified Inner Yoga Trust teacher who combines her interest in anatomy with the deeper yoga influences on mind and emotions to empower women through healthy and happy pregnancy and birth.
Flexible bookings! £8 for one class, or buy a pass to use on any dates during your pregnancy: 4 class pass for £28 or 6 class pass for £39 - book the dates when you like using the Book Now button.
I believe that pregnancy yoga should be inclusive for all women who wish to attend. I therefore give discounts for low incomes: 20% off for household income (ie combined income of both partners) below £12,000 a year; scholarship places available where cost is a barrier to joining - email for details. If you are financially affected by the pandemic, I am trialling a pay-as-you-feel model. This is all subject to availability.

“This class has become an essential part of my week. Gemma is fantastic. The yoga has helped loads with hip pain. I enjoyed the breathing and relaxation techniques, as well as it being a great community to share my pregnancy journey with. I look forward to Postnatal Yoga!”
